Riding along on two giant screws like it’s about to pop the corks off two even bigger bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon.
This Screw-Propelled Platform Vehicle is a transport platform designed to navigate swamps of all categories, moist soil, and soft snow. Its maximum speed on such challenging terrain reaches 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
Looking at this 18-foot (5,5 m) giant, you wouldn’t think it can stay remotely afloat. But it can. More so, this vehicle can go as fast as 6mph (10 km/h).
Combine this with it maximum load capacity standing at 3,300 pounds (1500 kg), and you’ve got yourself a steady but powerful beast.
Needless to say, this 2-seater not meant for recreational use or for going on a fishing trip with the boys. What it is meant for, however, is transporting heavy equipment to hard to reach locations.
This includes excavators, cranes, dredging pumps and other equipment needed in rescue operations or on construction works.
